Applications to Sydney uni take almost forever to process while other unis like UNSW and Melbourne reply promptly. That's from my personal experience. As an architecture student, Sydney uni almost got derecognised for its archi course in the late 80s because of some drastic changes it made to the program. it hasn't fully recovered from that stigma and as an unsaid rule - not many people doing architecture opt to go there. I think a main reason why not many malaysians go to sydney uni is because of the university’s own marketing department.
