Back from Blogging Sabatical…
Hey guys. I realise that I haven’t been blogging for a while. So here’s a short update.
I am still alive
I am still single. Sad… sad… I know ![]()
I have just voted in the NSW State Elections today. How I voted? Like this:
Legislative Assembly:
1st preference: Liberal
2nd preference: Labor
3rd preference: Greens
4th preference: Australia Against Further Immigration (because I don’t wanna compete with more super-brainy PRC dudes for work and stuff. So sue me)
5th preference: Fred Nile ala Christian Crusader
Legislative Council: Pretty much the same as above, except I put the Democrats above the Greens.
Lastly, hitman, here’s the link to TheCicak (translated to mean: The Lizard), a Malaysian youth blog thingy. The editor asked me to post my IA vs TD thing there, and so I did. Attracted people from both sides again. Anyway, you can check out Swiftly, one of the anti-IA commentors there.

hallo, hallo. i’d just like to say that i appreciated the comments. i guess, though, not all malaysians who have foreign accent s went out of their lengths to acquire it - the question is, is it a conscious decision to get the accent, or is it simply something that creeps into your speech as time goes by?
you’re right, i -am- from a slightly more privileged background - i know my parents have tried to give us the best they can, which is why i have memories of my mum teaching me how to pronounce words correctly.
nevertheless - i did mean for the article to be entertaining and provocative, so thank you for recognising that.

Hey there flory
Thanks for commenting here. Yes, I know where you’re coming from, and I apologise if my comments on The Cicak came off as a bit rude. I’ve added another comment to clarify on it now
Anyway, keep writing and cheers!

Heh, you’re turning Liberal.
Our job is almost done.

RajanR: Lol, no chance mate
I may be a natural Labor supporter, but NSW Labor has been in government for 12 years now and their service provision record is, frankly, shit. Late trains, public hospitals that reminded me of Malaysia’s public ones, and a LOT of ministerial scandals.
So we voting for state Liberal has less to do with supporting their conservative ideology and more to do with a protest vote.
Incidentally, you better prepare yourself with an Australian Labor PM soon
Kevin Rudd is riding high in the public polls right now with months to go to the federal elections. Federal Labor now has a 22 point lead over John Howard’s Liberals.
And I’m definitely voting for Rudd in that election. Many of friends are too. Hopefully, JH’s finally going down!
